Stylish apartments for two in the heart of Provence
In a peaceful situation, surrounded by the vineyards of the Cote de Luberon, Ferme de la Platane has superb views of the chateau of Ansouis, and the Luberon.
Our large rambling farmhouse, built in 1782 from local stone, is a typical Provencal mas, and has been extensively renovated. There are now three spacious studio apartments and one apartment with separate bedroom, each accommodating two people. Our aim has been to provide the elusive ingredients we were always hoping to find on our own travels – the character and charm of an old property combined with the comforts of home; good beds, fine cotton bed linen, and stylish bathrooms with plumbing that works. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of your own space in an authentic 200 year old Provencal farmhouse; ideal for couples or a group of friends, who want to be together yet have their independence.
A large courtyard faces the chateau and leads into a walled garden, and heated swimming pool. Built in the style of a traditional old ‘bassin‘, it is edged in local stone and measures 14×5 metres. With its lawn and teak sun beds, the garden is peaceful and sheltered; the ideal place to relax and let time slip by. Seating under a spreading oak tree provides cool shade from the summer sun, and wonderful views to the nearby hills. With nearly 4 hectares of grounds, including our own vines and a boules pitch, there is plenty of space to explore and discover your own favourite corner.
